I cannot use blogspot in China.
There aren't any bad words about China in my blog, I'm sure. It's too sad that it blocks me from writing my blog. It also blocks everyone else from writing, reading or searching for any blogspot sites. There is plenty of cool stuff on those blogs, but people live in China - anyone crosses the Chinese border - doesn't have the right to pursue interesting stuff in life.

Hope you enjoyed your time in China, and the countries and regions around it!
ReplyDeleteI am jealous that you talked to Siufan so much. Now I want to make it up by talking to you as much as possible through this blog platform!!!
Sorry to know that this blog tool is blocked in China. Ideally, it should be allowed, because freedom of speech is one of the critical factors that keeps the human society improving.
However, after I got here in Australia, got to know their education level and system, and the population and political history. After comparing to the situations in China, our precious motherland, where people are not even able to understand what is the legitimate democracy, and are easy to be manipulated by certain interest groups; ,what is even worse is that, its population is the biggest for ONE nation in the human history ever, I would have to say that it should be changed in China, but not now, at least.
Reforming at a wrong time can make the justified reforming lose its positive effects and even cause damages to the country and maybe make people in other countries suffer as well.
I understand that you probably will disagree with this. However, this is what my thoughts are now: not ready, not yet. I would totally support it and contribute all I have, when Chinese fellow citizens and the times are ready to go!
Please inform me of other information that you think is relevant that I am not aware of yet.
Hi Chihong you shouldn't have been jealous, we said so many bad things about you that you would not like to hear about:-P
ReplyDeleteWhat I think relevant is that, reforming is not necessarily a fierce revolution. It doesn't take place once. What is more, you can never reach a status satisfactory enough to bring the reform to an end.
So, I do not think there is a so-called 'right' time, in this sense, to push one reform to its success. Your words remind me of a battle but it shouldn't be like a battle.
It is like you improving yourself. You may think "Too much study load this month and it's not good time to start my exercise plan" or "I haven't decided whether to marry her or not so not yet to spend time each day on her" or even "People think it is not good time so I will wait till it's good"...then what at all will you do to improve yourself?
You get what I mean? There are a lot of smoke making difficulties seem impossible to solve, including this reality that China is the biggest country in the world. These are factors to be considered but by no means excuses to refuse reforms to take place. As far as I know, an unbelievable number of reforms are undertaking from the grassroot in China. Anything you would think is too difficult or too sensible. Voting, Internet democracy, AIDS, media...I'd love to name you some examples if you are interested.
I do think there are better and less better chances to change. But I do also keep in mind that changes do not happen in one night. Knowing this you'll not hesitate to make a change - if you are not able to change A now, go for B; if you are not able to change 100%, set your goal at 1% this time.
Ha, I do not believe that you would talk behind my back, because you love me. (vomiting....)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I agree with you that some positive changes without endanger the stability should be brought up, and as soon as possible, like now! My point was that the internet census is kind of necessary now, since people, who have not have enough education and reasoning ability, are easy to be manipulated by some political propagandas!
Pls provide me with the examples, I would love to know about them!!!
Yeah, 1% from today!
Did you have tangyuan last night? haha!
'Love' should be in past tense. (Haha does this hurt?)
ReplyDeleteI agree that the crowd is being manipulated by propaganda netted everywhere. But not only the Internet censorship is to be broken down. It's the newspaper, TV, community autonomous bodies, civil society and most importantly, EDUCATION.
The bright side is that if you look at cases, such as those I'm going to list in the coming post, more people than you ever think are aware of their deprived rights - not necessarily well-educates, you will find that individuals with the best resource, including that of education, are sometimes on top of the irrational wave.
Ok I will post some cases as I promised. I'm quite busy until new year's day, hope you are busy as well.
How was your silent night? Wish you joy and peace at Christmas. And enjoy your holiday with Siufan.
